Tips & FAQs

How can I prevent costly breakdowns?

Changing your filters monthly and servicing your system annually are the best ways to prevent unexpected and costly breakdowns.

Will setting my unit to a lower temperature make it cool faster?

No, set your air conditioning system to your normal temperature and have patience. Air conditioning only cools air at approximately one degree per hour.

My air-conditioning isn’t blowing cold air, what should I do?

Check the fan on the outdoor condenser to make sure the fan is spinning and also check your circuit breaker. If both of these items check out, please call for service.

I don’t see a flame or pilot light on my boiler, is it working?

Yes, it is working, most newer boilers from the past 15 years no longer use a standing pilot light. Switch the power to the boiler off and back on to check if it is working.

My refrigerant lines have ice on them, how should I clear them?

Check your filter and if it is dirty, turn off the unit and turn on your fan to melt the ice. If your filter is clean, please call for service.

My furnace is blowing cold air, what should I do?

First, switch the furnace off and back on, doing so will reset the ignition control. If the unit is still blowing cold air, please call for service.
