Our Services
Heating
You get a heating contractor who works on the full range of systems, including hydronic boilers and steam radiators that most newer HVAC companies have never been trained on.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC carries a Master HVACR License and has spent 29 years servicing the furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps inside North Jersey's older homes.
Homeowners across Bloomfield, Montclair, and the surrounding communities trust us with their heating because we have been doing it since 1997.
Air Conditioning
You get a same-day diagnosis, not a callback three days later. Our technicians explain exactly what is wrong before quoting a price.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC repairs central air, ductless mini-splits, and commercial cooling systems across North Jersey with a Master HVACR License for proper refrigerant handling.
Homeowners in Bloomfield, West Orange, and across Essex County have relied on us through 29 summers.
Refrigeration
Refrigeration is in our name because it has been a core part of our business since day one. Most HVAC contractors do not touch this equipment.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC repairs walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines for restaurants and commercial facilities across North Jersey.
Restaurant owners call us because a broken walk-in at 6 PM on a Friday is not a Monday problem.
Ventilation
Ventilation is the part of HVAC that most contractors skip entirely. We treat it as a core service because it directly affects your air quality, comfort, and energy bills.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC installs energy recovery ventilators, makeup air systems, and basement ventilation solutions designed as part of your HVAC system.
Homeowners with tightly sealed homes or finished basements trust us to solve ventilation problems others cannot diagnose.
Air Purification
You get a contractor who installs six different types of purification and filtration systems and can tell you which one actually solves your specific problem.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC installs media air cleaners, electronic air cleaners, UV germicidal systems, and whole-house humidifiers and dehumidifiers.
Families across Bloomfield, Montclair, and West Orange with allergies, dust, or humidity problems have trusted us for nearly three decades.
Custom Ductwork
You get a contractor who fabricates custom sheet metal ductwork to fit your space, not one who forces prefabricated pieces into spaces they were not designed for.
Basic Refrigeration Heating & AC measures, designs, and fabricates ductwork on-site to match the exact dimensions and airflow requirements of your system.
Homeowners with older homes or recent renovations trust us because we have been fabricating ductwork by hand since 1997.

Excellent work by Jeff! Had another provider here who recommended replacing my boiler where Jeff came in and repaired. Literally saved us 20k. He also replaced our AC a few years ago. Wouldn’t hesitate to use and recommend him again. TY Jeff!

Jeff is always very helpful in finding the most sensible solution that can only come from someone with real knowledge of his craft. He is always very attentive when a problem does come up, and keeps our HVAC system working clean and efficient. Peace of mind! I highly recommend Basic for your HVAC needs.

We were so pleased with the work we received from Jeff and his two workers. Our AC coil had a leak and was under warranty. Jeff was able to get in contact with the distributor and get the part. He told me as soon as it came in, he would call and set up an installation date. We heard from him within a week, that he received the part and can come tomorrow at 9am. At promptly, 9am he was there. Did a great job, removed the old coil and took it with him. Highly recommend Jeff and his company.
